Name: Han Solo
Door: Previously a Submissive in game.

Canon: Star Wars
Canon Point: Thirteen months after the events of Solo; A Star Wars Story

Age: 24
Appearance:  A Picture of Han here.

History: A detailed summary of Solo: A Star Wars Story can be found here.

Personality:

POSITIVE: COMPASSIONATE - Despite Han's desire to make himself rich, showboat any chance that he gets and lookout for his best interests, he's also compassionate. Unfairness bothers him and it's nearly impossible for him to turn a blind eye to it.

When Han learns that some of his associates are going to use the valuable fuel that he's just helped steal for all the wrong reasons. He doesn't hesitate to steal it back and ultimately gives it to the freedom fighters that will someday help form the Rebel Alliance.   We also see him covering for Chewbacca when he runs off mid-operation to rescue Wookiee captives on Kessel.

NEGATIVE: WILLFUL - It doesn’t take a lot of time knowing Han Solo to realize that he’s willful. When he thinks he’s right about something, it’s hard to persuade him to change his mind, even (or perhaps especially) when a logical counterpoint is presented. He hates being told what to do and is the type of person that’s inclined to disobey, just because he can. This tends to get him into trouble when he first strikes out in the military as it ends up leading him nowhere. His career as a small time smuggler almost fizzles before it gets started, simply because he wants to be the one who knows better than the others.

Add to that his desire to be impressive and show what knowledge he does have and the stubbornness and willfulness come to a head in fights with everyone from his boss, to his boss's boss, to an ex girlfriend who he never stopped loving.

NEGATIVE: RECKLESS - When Han gets focused on the gain he tends to turn a blind eye to managing the risks around him. Occasionally, his instincts will come through for him in a big way, but most people who know him would simply describe his as reckless. There's a reason he carries a pair of dice on a chain - he considers them his good luck and relies on that luck repeatedly.

It shows when he uses a rock in place of a grenade to escape his teenage captor. Though she calls him on it, he manages to cause enough of a commotion to escape, taking his girlfriend with him. Though they don't have ID to leave the spaceport at Corellia, he hopes to bribe their way through. Han’s plans normally aren't fully complete when he puts them into action, but more often than not things will work out in his favor anyway.

NEGATIVE: JEALOUS STREAK - There’s no way else to put it, Han gets jealous. Whether it's spaceships that he becomes fond of (which leads to an ongoing feud with Lando Calrissian that lasts a quite a few decades), or women (he is visibly repulsed when he sees Dryden Vos with his hands on Han's ex-girlfriend, the woman he had to leave behind in order to make his escape), and anyone who has more than him.

If there is a power imbalance that leads to physical goods, Han will desire it simply because he's spent his entire life not being good enough for those things. Scrounging for food. Being someone else's indentured labor. As soon as he made his way off his homeworld (Corellia), he swore he'd never be without the things he needs again.

Powers and Abilities: Han is a great pilot, a decent shot and a good mechanic. He has a knack for getting himself into deep trouble and (usually) getting out of it. His toughness can be a strong point.

Having said all that, Han does not have any special or superhuman powers.

Inventory: With him, Han has his blaster (a custom DL-44 that has a lethal and a stun setting), a deck of sabacc cards and his gold dice.

Han had a history with the CEC model ships.

He had been born in Coronet City.  The modest apartment that he’d grown up in was nestled in the shadow of the shipyard.  Walking distance for his father who had worked on the factory line.  It was a very common line of work for dad’s of Corellia to have — factory worker.  The thing of it was, more and more of the work within the factory was becoming automated and consequently, they needed fewer live people to actually work in the industrial sector.

The workers, fearing to lose their jobs entirely, started working longer hours.  Started accepting less pay.  Even when the Empire had come in and increased demand for things like starships and refined metals, the conditions for people that had the factory line jobs didn’t get any better.  It was a recipe that made some factory dad’s miserable old bastards.

Han’s dad turned to drinking.  It was okay in that small apartment for a while, his dad wasn’t home that much after all, till one day ... it wasn’t.  ‘Solo’ has very clear memories of being dragged out into the cold, no jacket on his back to ward off the temperature drop, to stare at the lifeless ships with his father.  Their relationship had been on shaky ground for a long time and they didn’t really talk to each other much.  It wasn’t fun to sit in silence and look at the spaceships, but it had probably planted the idea of being a pilot in his head.

Or maybe he just longed to escape everything ... and being able to fly a ship seemed like the best way to do that.

Anyway, it was a fairly young age that Han had learned all the lines and curves of the YT-1300.  It was a favorite of his for reasons he could never explain.  Was it any wonder, then, that he'd fallen for the Millennium Falcon at first sight?

Lando had cheated his way to victory the first time around.  He wasn't going to pull one over on Han Solo again, though.  He had a plan.  He and Chewbacca would come in to the cantina with menace in their eyes and threats on their lips and they'd get any gizmos he had for cheating taken off him before they sat down.  Then it would just be a matter of letting the best man win.

When he left with the controls of that ship under his palms, for good, he plotted a corse all the way across known space.  For the simple fact that he could.  He traveled to a couple of planets he'd always wanted to see for the thrill of entering the atmosphere and skipping through the clouds.  It was an amazing feeling.  He was free.  Really free now.  It was the closest to unbridled happiness he'd ever felt before.

There was an incomplete piece in this puzzle, though.  Qi'ra belonged at his side.  She ought to be here seeing these places for the first time with him and helping him figure out what his next move should be.  As fun as it was to be criss-crossing the galaxy, he couldn't do it forever -- if for no other reason that the Falcon guzzled fuel like nobody's business.

When he had gotten over the initial itch to explore and fly in his ship, he hailed Qi'ra on one of the Falcon's long range communicators; their own private line.
